It took weeks to get Busola to say yes to my date offer, even when I called her yesterday to ask if she'd be available by 4:00pm today, she didn't sound so excited about the idea, so I intend to make her have a good impression about me. At the mall, our movie was sold out by the time we got there, so we had to wait for two hours till the next show time.
She insisted on not eating anything so I spent the entire time talking till my jaws ached, all the while she said "ok".
We eventually got to see the movie and by the time we were out it was very late and there was hardly anyone outside except the people we came out of the cinema with.
Apparently, everyone got into their respective cars except us, what are the odds of that happening!!
We walked to the gate to pick a cab but after 15 minutes of waiting none came along so we decided to walk to the closest bus stop.
"Don't you have any friend that we can call to come pick us"? She asked,
Her words felt like knife in my heart, that was the most words she said all night so I decided to overlook.
" the person I'd call is not in town" I replied
"Stop there"! A voice from behind said,
it was dark so I couldn't place how many people were coming towards us,
" Run" I screamed and sped off.
After a while i didn't hear steps behind me so I stopped and realised Busola wasn't running with me. I was left to decide either to go back for her, or run for my life.
I ran, besides she insulted me for not having a car.
